Downtown Farmington Seeks Applicants for DDA Board Vacancy

Farmington, MI – The City of Farmington is looking to fill a vacancy on the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors.

The Farmington Downtown Development Authority (DDA) meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8 a.m. They support business development, encourage historic preservation, and promote economic growth. In Farmington, the DDA has brought Dinan Park, the Syndicate and the Grand Raven Festival to the Downtown. Board members serve a 4-year term; the vacant term expires on Feb. 28, 2029.

This vacancy is left by Board Member Linda Deskins. Linda’s ideas and dedication were instrumental to the DDA’s success. One aspect of her tenure on the DDA Board was Volunteer Coordinator; she put a lot of time and effort into organizing volunteers for Downtown Farmington events, such as Harvest Moon Celebration. Her dedication and coordination played a huge role in making everything run smoothly.
