OC Restaurant Quest: Kimchi Box in Auburn Hills, Madison Heights, Northville, and Troy

Madison Heights, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues to a place that has instantly become a favorite – Kimchi Box in Madison Heights.  With a convenient location on 14 Mile – across from the mall – Kimchi Box has ample parking, room for dining in, and easy online ordering.  There are also locations across SE Michigan, including Auburn Hills, Northville, and Troy.

I absolutely loved the bulgogi taco, made with Korean BBQ . I also loved the fish taco, which had deep fried cod with salad mix, pickled onion, and sassy mayo.

The kimchi fries were amazing. The french fries were topped with sauteed kimchi, mozzarella, sour cream, and sassy mayo. The food had just the right amount of spiciness.

An interesting treat was the mozz dogs, which is corndog batter stuffed with cheese, fried and sprinkled with sugar. Other interesting items include the Red Bean Bun, Potato Dogs, and Steamed Pork Dumplings. The Duk-Bok-Ki is a stir friend rice cake in spicy sauce with fish cake and onions. And the popcorn chicken is double-fried and served with pickled radish.

Other taco options include the kimchi taco, BBQ tofu, and spicy pork.

Kimchi Box also specializes in Korean fried chicken, including their Seoul Chicken Sandwich and Kimchi Chicken Chicken.
