Reporter Food: Veal Parmesan at Avia Restaurant
(Crystal A. Proxmire, orig. Dec. 15, 2019)
Holly, MI- In the heart of Downtown Holly is a comfy family restaurant with a menu full of home-style meals and comfy booths. A recent lunch meeting gave me the chance to meet Stefano Berishaj, an Albanian immigrant who owns Avia Family Dining.
I had the Veal Parmesan which came with a perfectly crispy breaded veal patty served with a heap of spaghetti topped with rich delicious marinara sauce. Of course this came with a slice of garlic bread.
My lunchtime companion started with a hearty bowl of house-made chili, followed by a traditional Gryo topped with an ample supply of Tzatziki sauce and chopped tomatoes and onions.
The menu is full of American, Greek, and Italian dishes and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Avia is located at 111 S. Saginaw Street in Downtown Holly. They can also be found on Facebook.
