Woman Injured in 20 Ft Fall from Ski Lift at Mt. Holly

Groveland Township, MI – A woman is injured after falling 20 feet from a ski lift at Mt. Holly Resort in Groveland Township Wednesday.
Groveland Fire Chief John Williams told Oakland County Times “Yes, unfortunately there was a severe injury at Mt. Holly today. It was a 31 year old female who fell off the chair lift, approximately 20 feet. Mt. Holly did not close. She was transported to Genesys priority 1 for a possible head injury.”
Later on Facebook, the department shared “This afternoon Groveland Township Fire responded to a Woman who fell 20ft from the chair lift at Mount Holly Ski Resort on Dixie Highway. She was transported Priority 1 with potentially severe traumatic injuries. It is unknown at this time the reason or events that lead up to her fall from the lift. Even though the circumstances of this incident remain unclear, we would like to remind everyone to be safe and aware of potential dangers while enjoying the slopes. We would also like the thank Mount Holly Ski Patrol for their quick response and exceptional care while assisting us with this incident.”
Mt. Holly Resort is located at 13536 Dixie Highway, which is in Groveland Township but has a Holly mailing address.
