OC Restaurant Quest: The Rolling Stoves in Farmington

Farmington, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a visit to The Rolling Stoves in Farmington.

The Rolling Stoves is known for their butter-seared burgers, served both at the restaurant and from their food truck that can sometimes be found at events throughout Metro Detroit.

For my visit I opted for the Smashed Cheeseburger for some classic beefy flavor. This hefty burger comes topped with American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion, mayo and ketchup on a toasted bun (with an American flag toothpick). I got the salt and pepper fries which were lip-smacking good.

Carrying on with my decidedly indulgent, I also got a delicious chocolate shake which is blended to order.

Other burger options include the Rodeo Burger with cheese, onion rings, bacon and BBQ, and the PB&B with cheese, creamy peanut butter, honey, crispy bacon, caramelized onions and pickles. They even have a Chipotle Black Bean Burger.

They also have a burger of the month. For January it’s the Thai Chili Crunch which is crispy chicken tossed in sweet chili sauce, crispy wonton strips, pickles, lettuce, and jalapenos.

There’s also a kids menu with mini chicken strips, grilled cheese, and mini smashed cheeseburger. The simple but delicious menu makes ordering a snap, and their space is decked out with pretty cool Detroit themed mural.
