Ferndale Students Have Peace Parade in Honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
(Ferndale Schools, Jan 20, 2025)
Oak Park, MI -On Friday, the Ferndale Lower School Family came together to continue a beloved tradition—the Annual Peace Parade, now in its 20th year.
This cherished event began at the old Lower School two decades ago and continues to inspire our youngest learners as they honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. As M. Scott Peck beautifully said, “Share our similarities, Celebrate our differences!”
At Ferndale Lower, each student is unique, and together they create a vibrant and unified community.
During the parade, students marched around our new school, carrying homemade signs and banners that spoke of love, kindness, and inclusion. Families joined the celebration, lining the parade route and sharing in the joy of this meaningful tradition. Thank you to everyone who participated in making this year’s Peace Parade a beautiful success!
