Downtown Rochester Frost Festival Celebrating Detroit Lions, Jan 17-18
Rochester, MI – It started with Home Bakery’s Life Size Amon-Ra St. Brown Headstand Cake and now Lions Fever is taking over Downtown Rochester’s Frost Festival, January 17 & 18! In addition to over 40 ice sculptures lining the downtown streets, a collegiate ice carving competition and Frost Festival Bingo, many new Lions-themed activities are planned especially for this year’s festival.
Visitors will have the opportunity to get their photos taken with the Detroit Lions Photo Spot on E. Third Street, a 15-block ice sculpture featuring jerseys of Lions players Jahmyr Gibbs, Jared Goff, David Montgomery & Amon-Ra St. Brown, plus a “Wishing Wall” where visitors can carve their well wishes for the Lions in ice on Friday night!
“The businesses have transformed their windows with Detroit Lions decals displays, along with offering One Pride Promotions and specials all weekend long, stated DDA Events Coordinator Jenna O’Dell. “Even the ice sculpture table skirts are Honolulu Blue! We are so proud of the Detroit Lions and we hope everyone will come out this weekend to join us in supporting the team!”
The Frost Festival kicks off on Friday, January 17 from 5 – 8 pm and continues Saturday, January 18 from 10 am – 6 pm. For more information, visit www.downtownrochestermi.com/frost-festival
