Huron Valley State Bank Continues Tradition of Giving
(HVSB, Dec. 21, 2024)
Highland, Milford, MI – Huron Valley State Bank continued its tradition of giving back this holiday season by supporting local families and children through two impactful community programs – the Community Sharing Outreach Center in Highland and the Milford Village Elves program.
At the Highland Branch, the annual toy drive for Community Sharing Outreach Center ran from November 18th to December 13th. Customers and staff generously donated new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages. This longstanding tradition, led by Shelley Dickerson, has made a significant impact year after year.
On December 16th, Shelley Dickerson and Sheri Miles delivered the collected toys to David Bell, President of Community Sharing, and his team. The surprise and gratitude on their faces underscored the importance of this program.
Meanwhile, at the Milford Branch, spearheaded by Nancy Gomez and Janet Wooster, they partnered with the Milford Village Elves, collecting monetary donations over $1,000. The branch staff used the contributions to purchase gifts, multiple movie tickets for the Milford Independent Cinema, and a gift card to Smoke Street, Walmart and Meijers. The gifts will be delivered on Christmas Eve along with a warm dinner for the family.
The Financial Center also played a key role, supporting both programs through toy donations and monetary contributions, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to giving back to the communities it serves.
Thanksgiving was also a holiday of giving.
For the 10th consecutive year, the team at Huron Valley State Bank has proudly upheld its tradition of spreading joy and cheer during the Thanksgiving season. This milestone year, the bank once again hosted its annual Thanksgiving food drive, collecting canned and boxed non-perishable goods, along with fresh potatoes, butter, and pumpkin pies at all its branches and the financial center.
Taking their commitment a step further, the bank assembled five (5) Thanksgiving baskets filled with these essentials and included vouchers for turkeys provided by The Village Butcher for local families.
“Our bank is so proud to support these meaningful programs that bring joy to families during the holiday season,” said Jack Shubitowski, President and CEO of Huron Valley State Bank. “It’s incredible to see the generosity of our team and community members come together to make a difference.”
Huron Valley State Bank extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed and supported these initiatives. By working together, the Bank and the community continue to make the holiday season brighter for families in need. Learn more about Huron Valley State Bank at https://www.hvsb.com/
