Missing Woman Found Deceased in Pontiac

Pontiac, MI- An endangered 63-year-old woman who had not been seen by her family for nearly two weeks was found deceased Thursday afternoon in Pontiac.
The body of Vivian Ann Powell, of Pontiac, was found shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday by a family member in the 100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. She was fully clothed and wearing a coat. There were no signs of trauma or foul play.
Powell had not been seen by her family since Dec. 3. They reported her missing on Wednesday, Dec. 11. She had a history of being gone for several days.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies had been actively searching for her at locations she was known to frequent and attempted to contact her friends and acquaintances. A law enforcement bulletin was also sent out to surrounding law enforcement agencies when she was reported missing. An autopsy was conducted today by the Oakland County Medical Examiner.
The cause and manner of death are pending. Her family told detectives Powell had significant health issues.
