Dec 7 – Springfield Twp Library Outdoor Christmas
Springfield Township, MI – The Springfield Township Parks and Recreation Department and the Springfield Township Library are partnering to bring you a special FREE community Christmas tree decorating event.
The Friends of the Springfield Township Library recently purchased an evergreen tree to add more natural beauty to our Storybook Trail and we would like your help to decorate the tree with nature-friendly ornaments.
Please join us at the Shiawassee Basin Preserve Pavilion (by the baseball fields) on Saturday, December 7 anytime between 1:00 and 2:30pm to enjoy hot cocoa and make an ornament to hang on our new tree.
Before or after you visit us at the pavilion, feel free to walk the Storybook Trail and enjoy the book that inspired the planting of our new tree, A Wish to Be A Christmas Tree by Colleen Monroe.
We would like to express our thanks to the Friends of the Springfield Township Library for their purchase of the tree and the Springfield Township Parks and Recreation Department for their assistance in planting the tree.
There will not be restroom facilities available at the pavilion. There will be restrooms available at the Library from 12pm to 4pm so please plan accordingly.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged but will be allowed on the day of the event while supplies last.
