Dec 3 – Southfield Tree Lighting Ceremony
Southfield, MI – The city of Southfield will officially kickoff the holiday season with the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Tuesday, December 3 from 6-8 p.m. on the front lawn of the Southfield Municipal Campus, 26000 Evergreen Road.
The festivities begin with a welcome by Mayor Dr. Ken Siver and other City Officials.
The arrival of Santa will be ushered in by the Southfield A&T High School Marching Band and the lighting countdown.
Following the ceremony, visitors will be able to visit with animals at the petting zoo, enjoy ice carving demonstrations, watch the University High School Dance Team perform, pick up “take & make” crafts for kids, and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate outside.
Santa will be visiting with kids inside the Southfield Pavilion this year, so make sure you have your list ready!
