OC Restaurant Quest: Miso in Troy

Troy, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a visit to Miso in Troy for some tasty sushi.
My favorite was the peanut avocado roll because I loved the contrasting textures and flavors. The chicken tempura roll also added some crispy comfort to my meal. And the smoked salmon sushi was nice choice as well. Everything seemed to be fresh and made with care.
I also had the tempura vegetable appetizer, which features a mix of veggies such as sweet potato, squash, and broccoli fried in a crispy batter. And for dessert I had mango mochi.
Miso has a variety of sushi choices, as well as other Japanese items. For sushi one might enjoy the sumo roll made with crab, avocado, and eel tempura served with yum yum sauce. The kamikaze roll has salmon tempura and cucumber, topped with seared salmon, toasted mayo, and fish egg. And the coconut roll has shrimp tempura and avocado topped with crabmeat, coconut flake, and coconut sauce.
Miso also serves entrees like their popular miso ramen, hibachi scallop, and a choice of hibachi, udon, and fried rice dishes. The mochi ice cream comes in a few flavors as well, including strawberry, vanilla, and green tea flavors.
