Trump or Harris – How Oakland County Cities and Townships Voted
(Kurt Metzger, Nov. 7, 2024)
Oakland County, MI – The results of the Nov 5, 2024 election are in, and Oakland County was one of the few Michigan counties to support the Harris/Walz ticket, with 54.2 percent voting in the Democratic ticket’s favor. Donald Trump won the national election for President, but I wanted to look at how voting played out locally.
The following chart shows the percent vote for Harris across the 51 voting municipalities (the county’s 10 villages vote within their townships).
The range goes from a high of 93.3 percent to a low of 29.0 percent, showing the wide range of opinions in the suburbs. Those with low percentage of Harris/Waltz votes were those with high Trump/Vance votes.
