Waterford School District Welcomes Next Superintendent Thomas Ahart
The Waterford School District Board of Education has voted to enter into contract negotiations with Thomas Ahart, Ed.D., to be the next superintendent of Waterford School District. The Board of Education will vote on a finalized contract at a future meeting.
Dr. Ahart currently serves as a consultant for the Council for Great City Schools and was the superintendent of the Des Moines Public Schools in Iowa for 10 years. Prior to serving as the superintendent of Iowa’s largest school district, he was the associate superintendent for Teaching and Learning in Des Moines.
Dr. Ahart has been involved in education as a teacher and administrator for over 30 years.
