Nov 2 – Green Bucket Run at Kirk in the Hills to Benefit Accent Pontiac
Bloomfield Twp – Accent Pontiac is once again partnering with Kirk in the Hills for their 7th annual 5K Green Bucket Run in Bloomfield Township, Michigan on November 2nd, 2024.
This year, the course is a beautiful Fall tour run/walk around Island Lake. The fun kicks off at 9 am with a Pre-Race Warm Up with YogaSix Rochester Hills. Start time is 9:30 am for the 5K and 9:35 for the Kids Race. Every participant gets a bib, a T-shirt and a swag bag. Winners receive a medal. This year’s sponsors include Williams International, McLaren Oakland, Guy Hurley Insurance, and Jan and Jim Keeling. Kevin Sabol will DJ the event. Accent Pontiac will also be kicking off their 2024 snack drive.
Accent Pontiac students will play at a special performance before the awards ceremony at 10:30 am. Last year, nearly 130 runners of all ages and levels participated in this annual event to raise $15,000 for Accent Pontiac’s intensive music education program. Tickets are $30 for students and Pontiac residents, $35 for non-residents and $40 for all the day of. Proceeds go to Accent Pontiac. Sign up at https://www.accentpontiac.org/
Accent Pontiac is a youth development and music education nonprofit serving students in Pontiac, MI. They offer intensive, quality music programming 4 days/week including access to musical instruments & instruction, transportation, and meals free of charge. Students experience performances, field trips, guest artist events, and summer music programs. Accent Pontiac youth build confidence while developing leadership, teamwork, and music skills.
