OC Restaurant Quest: Casey’s of Walled Lake

Walled Lake, MI – Casey’s of Walled Lake is a bar, with typical bar food, plus sushi. It sounds like a strange combination but it works for this popular gathering place.
I ordered the Patty Melt which comes with American cheese, grilled onions, and Dijon mayo on grilled rye.
It wouldn’t have felt right ignoring the sushi part of the menu, so I also ordered the Beef Teriyaki roll, with shaved prime rib, cucumber and teryaki sauce.
And for dessert – chocolate peanut butter cake.
There are a number of other items on the menu. Burger choices include the Pepper Jam Smashburger, The Hell Cat, The Zesty Chicken Sandwich, and the Mapel Road House made with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and Russian dressing. There are also deli sandwiches like the Commerce Club, Wixom Cheesesteak, and the Traditional Reuben.
And then there is the sushi. There are traditional choices like the Spicy California, Philadelphia, and Chicken Tempura. Some more unusual choices include the Fatty which is made with bacon, jalapeno, and cream cheese topped with hot honey and flame torched. The Kaley roll is made with pineapple and cream cheese, tempura fried and topped with coconut mango sauce.
