OC Restaurant Quest: Ninja Sushi in West Bloomfield

West Bloomfield, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland Continues with a carryout from Ninja Sushi on 14 Mile Road in West Bloomfield.
I started out with two rolls to try – the Philadelphia and the Sweet Potato. The Philadelphia was made with smoked salmon, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese. Thick bites of high quality salmon made this roll a delight. I also loved the Sweet Potato roll which was made with tempura sweet potato, giving it a perfect crunch, and topped with eel sauce.
I also ordered the Hot Stone Bibimbap, which is bowl full of delicious ingredients. There’s a choice of protein (I got beef), and sauce (I got teriyaki), and it also has rice, shredded carrots, spinach, and cucumber, with a fried egg on top. This was a filling portion with quality ingredients.
Lastly I had a side of edamame, which are the pods of young soy beans which are steamed for a healthy side option.
Ninja Sushi has a number of sushi choices, including the Ninja Crunch which has shrimp tempura, spicy crab salad, and avocado topped with house sauce and crunch. Others include the Popcorn Lobster roll, the Honey roll, and the Yellowtail & Scallion.
A hungry person might order the Chirashi, whcih is a decorated assortment of fresh fish on a bed of sushi rice. Another might love the Unagi Don, which is grilled eel on a bed of sushi rice, served with eel sauce.
There’s also the Tako Sunomono salad, which is seaweed and cucumber in a vinegar dressing.
Everything on my visit was fresh and made with care.
