OC Restaurant Quest: Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Birmingham

Birmingham, MI -The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a DoorDash order from Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse. While delivery doesn’t capture the full experience of a fancy night out, it was a chance to enjoy an amazing, high-quality meal.
I ordered the Filet Mignon, a delicate, flavorful cut of beef that was almost melty in my mouth. This came with mashed potatoes and a gigantic soft dinner roll. I also had the Wedge Salad, made with bacon, campari tomatoes, red onion, danish blue cheese crumbles, blue cheese dressing, balsamic glaze.
For dessert I enjoyed the Chocolate Gooey Brownie which came topped with honeycomb brittle, chocolate sauce & caramel. The honeycomb brittle stood out as a unique topping, adding some crispy sweet flavor.
Fleming’s offers a variety of prime steaks, including rib eye, tomahawk and New York Strip. Guests can enhance their steak experience with add-ons such as crispy maitake mushrooms, truffle-poached lobster and diablo shrimp.
Other entrees include roasted portobello and cauliflower steak, miso-glazed Chilean sea bass, North Atlantic lobster tails, and barbeque salmon fillet. Sides include chipotle cheddar mac and cheese, creamed spinach, roasted asparagus, sauteed mushrooms and more.
Fleming’s is also known for their wine selection. I don’t drink wine so I can’t speak to the choices, but they include names like Benvolio, A to Z Wineworks Pinot Noir, Les Cadrans de Lassegue Merlot, and Pessimist by Daou. There are also hand crafted cocktails like the California Jam Jar, the Blueberry Lemon Drop, and the Small Batch Smash.
