OC Restaurant Quest: Cantina El Dorado in Auburn Hills

Auburn Hills, MI – Cantina El Dorado is a recently opened Mexican restaurant in Downtown Auburn Hills.
For my inaugural visit I opted for the Mexican Pizza – Crispy flat tortilla topped with choice of meat, beans, black olives, onions, tomatoes, melted mozzarella cheese, jalapenos, & sour cream. The crispy tortilla crust and cheesy toppings made for a great meal.
I also ordered the veggie fajita, made with grilled tomatoes, zucchini, and mushrooms served on a bed of grilled onions and red and green bell peppers, served with lettuce, sour cream, jalapenos, pico de gallo, cheese, rice, beans, and flour tortillas – lots of good things all in one dish.
Cantina El Dorado’s menu is full of Mexican inspired dishes, including the egg and chorizo taco dinner, the grande loaded chimi, cowboy burritos, enchiladas suizas and many more. Visitors might enjoy the ranchiladas which has thin sliced ribeye steak on top of two enchiladas stuffed with a choice of meat smothered in cheese dip and red or green sauce served with rice, beans, lettuce, and pico. The shrimp fajita is also another desirable choice.
Cantino El Dorado also has burgers and salads, and a kids menu. There’s also a well-stocked bar with cold cervezas on tap, and hand-crafted margaritas.
