OC Restaurant Quest: 24 Seconds Bar & Grill in Berkley

Berkley, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County takes us to Downtown Berkley for a carryout from 24 Seconds Bar & Grill. The website for this sports bar, which opened in 2005, describes the vibe, stating “If you’re wanting a reason not to cook, cheering on your favorite sports team, or just looking for a quick meal with friends and family – 24 Seconds has what you need.”
What did I need that fine evening? Pizza.
The 24 Seconds Supreme hit the spot, or as they say, knocked it “outta the park.” With soft thick crust and abundant Pepperoni, bacon, sausage, green peppers, onions. mushrooms, this was a satisfying feast. I also ordered the Fried Chicken Salad, made with cheddar jack, tomatoes, scallions, and bacon over lettuce.
There are many bar food options at 24 Seconds, with burgers and sandwiches making the bulk of the menu. There’s a Firehouse Burger with Buffalo jalapenos, pepper jack, side of bleu cheese, a Turkey Burger with Lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, side of garlic aioli, and the 24 Seconds Melt made with Swiss, sauteed onions, seedless rye, plus many other options. They also offer tacos. For dessert there is just one option – Fried Oreos.
For those avoiding gluten, they do offer gluten free buns and pizza options.
