OC Restaurant Quest: BK Sushi Thai in Keego Harbor
(Crystal A. Proxmire, July 20, 2024)
Keego Harbor, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a visit to BK Sushi Thai in Keego Harbor. I decided to try one Thai entree and one sushi in honor of the restaurant’s name.
For the sushi I had a Philadelphia Fried Roll, taking a classic roll with smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado, and cucumber, coating in tempura, frying it up, and topping it with spicy mayo and eel sauce. This was an absolutely decadent sushi experience.
And for the Thai entree I picked the Drunken Noodle, which is white rice noodles stir-fried with basil, bell peppers, garlic, green onion, and egg. I ordered it “not spicy,” which means zero at all, so I would probably go with mild if I got it again, but apart from my own underestimating, it was still a fresh and delicious, satisfying meal with nice sized pieces of steak and hearty veggies.
I also had the Crab Rangoon, which is a crispy triangle filled with a cream cheese, imitation crab filling that makes a great appetizer.
BK Sushi Thai also has a selection of Boba Bubble Tea, of which I selected the strawberry.
