Man at Hospital with Gun and Extra Clips Arrested, As Was Man Looking for Girlfriend at a Troy Hotel

Troy, MI – Troy Police arrested men with with guns in two separate incidents this past week. Here are the reports:
Troy Beaumont Hospital (Corewell), 44201 Dequindre Road, 05/15/2024 at 4:34 PM: Officers were dispatched to the hospital for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with hospital security and the victim who stated the father of her child took multiple items from her vehicle after the two of them had a verbal dispute. The suspect, a 24-year-old male from Roseville, was found to have multiple warrants for his warrant. A short time later, officers observed the suspect walk out of the hospital parking deck. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect ran back into the parking deck and officers pursued him in their vehicles. The suspect was located running on the sidewalk toward Dequindre Road where he was taken into custody for his outstanding warrants. During a search of his person, officers located a loaded handgun and three additional loaded magazines in a fanny pack the suspect had on his person. The suspect was transported to the Troy Police Lock-up facility where he was charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon. 24-14096
2537 Rochester Court, 05/18/2024 at 3:45 AM: Officers were dispatched to the hotel for a suspicious person after employees reported a male had been asked to leave the property but was refusing to do so. Upon arrival, officers observed the described suspect in the parking lot and made contact with him. The male stated he was at the hotel looking for his girlfriend after she did not return home as expected. Officers noted he had an empty holster on his right hip and asked the male if he had a gun on him. The male advised the firearm was in his vehicle. Officers located the suspect’s BMW X5 parked behind the hotel and observed a Glock 19 on the center console in plain view. The suspect was found to not have a concealed pistol license. Officers spoke with hotel staff who said the male approached the front desk asking if his friend was there. The staff told him they could not provide any information to him and the male was asked to leave after he continued to wander around the hotel. When he refused, they contacted police. The male, 25 years of age from Southfield, was arrested for the concealed weapons violation and transported to the Troy Police Lock-up facility. 24-14371
