OC Times Restaurant Quest: Capri Pizza in Southfield

Southfield, MI – Capri Pizza in Southfield has been pleasing customers with high quality pizza since 1960.
I was delighted to try the Greek Pizza, topped with feta cheese, Kalamata olives, and spinach with mozzarella and pizza sauce. I also added bacon.
The dough on this pizza was phenomenal, the classic kind of dough that is just the right thickness, soft in the middle with just a little crisp, not too greasy. It was just right.
I also decided to try the wings, which came served with a cup of ranch.
At Capri patrons can build their own pie with a menu full of topping choices. Or they can try a specialty pizza like the Meat Lovers, Chicken Romano, Steak and Provolone, BBQ chicken and more.
In addition to pizza, Capri has oven baked subs, fresh salads, and pizza turnovers. There’s also a section for desserts including cheesecake, tiramisu, and chocolate chip pizza cookie.
Guests can also order beer to go with their pizza, and of course soda pop is available.
Another cool thing about Capri is they’re home to Michigan’s first pizza robot – the ZaBot. The machine in the parking lot makes pizza on demand, 24/7, although the machine was not available on the day I visited.
