Police Seek Help Finding Missing Woman, Vehicle Found at Waterford Oaks – UPDATED

UPDATE: The missing woman has been found deceased. Police do not suspect foul play, but the investigation is still in progress.
Waterford, MI- The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating an Independence Township woman who is believed to be in or near Waterford Oaks County Park.
The missing woman is identified as Lacie Nicole Santia, 38. She was reported missing by her family Saturday morning as they were concerned as to her emotional condition. She is 5-feet 6- inches tall, weighs 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and dark eyes. She was last seen wearing black yoga pants and a black athletic shirt.
Deputies located Santia’s unoccupied vehicle later Saturday in the parking lot of the county park with the keys still in the ignition. The Sheriff’s Office Drone Unit, search and rescue team, K-9 unit, aviation unit as well as the Waterford Township police, U.S. Border Patrol, and Metroparks Police Search and Rescue Team all participated in the search for Santia but the searches and tracking were terminated without results.
The Sheriff’s Office resumed the search today. Anyone who may have seen Santia within the past 24 hours or may know where she is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 248-858-4950.
