OC Restaurant Quest – Grand Tavern in Rochester Hills, and Troy

Rochester Hills, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland Continues with Grand Tavern, which has locations in Rochester Hills, and Troy. I had two carryout meals from the Rochester Hills locations to show off some of the variety of meals they have.

The first visit was I had the steak quesadilla made with bell peppers, onions, and a melty blend of cheeses, topped with salsa, sour cream, shredded lettuce and pico de gallo. I also ordered a cup of chili made with white beans, chicken, and ground beef, and upgraded to include cheese, sour cream, and onions.

That was a solidly good meal, but I wanted to show off something more unique, so I went back at a later date for the Michigan Cherry BBQ Salmon, which was amazing. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so bright and flavorful, with crispy onions adding some texture. It came with asparagus, garlic redskin mashed potatoes, and a cup of broccoli soup. Such a great combination.

Grand Tavern has a variety of lunch and dinner options, including Lemon Pepper Seafood Pasta, Filet Mignon, Chicken Cordon Bleu Panini, and salads like the California Cobb and the Lobster Goat Cheese Salad. They also have a section of burgers, including the Queso Burger and the Pepper Jack Bacon Burger. Guests can also build their own, with a selection of toppings that include guacamole, grilled mushrooms, crumbled bleu cheese, jalapenos, grilled bell peppers and more.
