Ferndale Students Treated to Lesson and Music by Clarinetist Julian Bliss

Ferndale, MI – Students from Ferndale High School and Ferndale Middle School had a unique opportunity on March 12 when world renowned clarinetist Julian Bliss visited and gave them a special masterclass lesson and performance. Bliss is a concerto soloist, chamber musician, recitalist, jazz artist, and masterclass leader.
Bliss was born in the United Kingdom, where he began playing the clarinet at just four years old. He grew to study in Germany under Sabine Meyer, and in the United States at University of Indiana. He’s been performing professionally since the age of 12.
After sharing his story, he answered questions and performed for the students.
