Driver Crashes into Eva’s Dairy Cafe in Lake Orion
(Crystal A. Proxmire, Feb. 12, 2024) Lake Orion, MI – A pickup truck crashed into Ava’s Dairy Cafe at 465 N. Park Blvd. The popular ice cream destination was closed for the season.
The vehicle crashed through the wall of the building around 9am.
Lake Orion Police released a statement on the crash, stating “At 8:55am this morning, officers were dispatched to 465 N Park Blvd, with reports of a vehicle that had driven through the front of Eva’s Dairy Cafe.
“Upon arrival officers found a male driver in good condition. The driver was tended to by OTFD, and transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation.
“Eva’s Dairy Cafe, a Lake Orion landmark, received a good amount of damage, and is being secured. We believe that they will overcome this and expect they will reopen this spring for some yummy treats.”
