OC Restaurant Quest – Syndicate Ferndale

Ferndale, MI – Syndicate Ferndale is a swanky bar tucked away on Vester Street in Downtown Ferndale. Featuring fancy drinks and artistically crafted dishes, this beautiful restaurant provides a delicious dining experience.
A friend and I visited recently and started with drinks. He had the Snow Child – a turquoise drink made with 21 Seeds Valencia Orange, Blue Curacao, Pineapple, and Cream of Coconut with a rim of shredded coconut.
I picked the Snake in the Grass made with Botanist Gin, Yellow Chartreuse, Lilet Blanc, lemon, and lemon bitters.
There are so many lovely choices for drinks, including the Violet Stratosphere, the Starry Night, and The Seven Virtues. There is also a nice selection of mocktails for those who want to be alcohol-free.
The menu changes seasonally, so we ate from the Winter menu. My friend had the Rutabaga and Parsnip Soup, flavored with thyme oil and served with French Bread. I had the Venison Chili which came served with cornbread. Both were flavorful, hearty, and served in adorable little glass mugs with golden colored spoons.
For the main course I ordered the Peppercorn Swordfish, which came grilled and topped with a butter house Bearnaise and pink peppercorn, served with almond-topped green beans. My friend had the Mushroom Ravioli made with spinach, garlic, tomato, and house thyme oil. Cooked with care, and plated with pride, this was a luxurious meal.
Other menu items include Lamb Shank, Bistro Burgers, London Broil and more.
For desert we had a Frostibite Brownie, topped with peppermint ice cream and a chocolate shell sprinkled with peppermint crumble. Like everything else this was a beautiful and tasty experience.
