Man Getting Mail Struck by Hit and Run Driver in Bloomfield Twp

Bloomfield Township, MI – The Bloomfield Township Police Department is investigating a Hit and Run injury traffic crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash occurred along S/B Eastways Rd. south of E. Square Lake Rd. on January 30, 2024, at approximately 6:30 P.M.
The suspect vehicle is believed to be a white 2021-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with damage to the passenger side mirror.
The vehicle collided with a 77-year-old male resident who was near the roadway obtaining his mail.
The suspect vehicle left the scene without stopping. The pedestrian was transported to Trinity Health Oakland Hospital by Bloomfield Township Fire Department personnel with bodily injuries. The crash is under investigation by the Bloomfield Township Police Department.
