OC Restaurant Quest – 9 Oaks Grill in Oak Park

Oak Park, MI – Continuing the quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County, our ninth review of the year is for 9 Oaks Grill in Oak Park. I did make a visit to this family restaurant last year for breakfast, so it made sense to go back for lunch as I’m featuring restaurants with numbers in their name.
I went with a friend who ordered the grilled chicken breast pita, which came over stuffed with flavorful chicken, mayo, lettuce, and tomato. They also had the cole slaw, which I forgot to get a picture of. I had the Slim Jim, which was sliced ham and cheese with lettuce, mayo and tomato on a sub bun, with a side of chili cheese fries.
This inexpensive diner at the corner of 9 Mile and Coolidge has a good amount of seating and a menu with some variety to it – serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
For breakfast there are many omelette choices, including the Broccoli and Swiss, the Meat Lovers, The Mushroom and Swiss, and more. There are also pancakes and French toast, and traditional breakfasts with eggs, meat, and potatoes. Later in the day check out pitas, wraps, and burgers.
There are also dinners like baked ham, country fried steak, fish and chips, and even some stir fry choices.
