OC Restaurant Quest: 5th Tavern in Bloomfield Hills and Clarkston

Bloomfield Hills, Clarkston, MI – The fifth restaurant review of the year is for 5th Tavern, with locations in Bloomfield Hills and Clarkston.
I visited the Bloomfield location for a carryout feast. The Black N Bleu Flatbread came topped with blackened grilled tenderloin with bleu cheese, caramelized onions, and mushrooms. I also ordered a Tenderloin Steak Salad, a nice mix of romaine lettuce, bleu cheese, roasted red peppers, tomato bruschetta, red onion, and crispy potato threads served with tomato vinaigrette. Both featured high quality meat in flavorful dishes.
I also could not resist trying the Roasted Tomato and Asparagus Bisque, made with rich and delicious Pomodoro tomatoes, topped with basil pesto.
For dessert I had the carrot cake, which of course was sweet and delicious.
5th Tavern has a nice selection of entrees, including Braised Lamb Shank, Cajun Red Snapper, New York Strip Steak, Michigan Cherry BBQ Salmon, Lobster Mac & Cheese and so much more. The salad selection is equally impressive, with specialties like the Seared Ahi Tuna Salad served on a blend of rainbow kale, shredded Brussels sprouts, red cabbage, raddichio, and carrots with white balsamic vinaigrette.
