Salem-South Lyon District Library Scholarship Applications Being Accepted

The Friends of the Salem-South Lyon District Library (SSLDL) would like to celebrate the impact and potential of community libraries by offering its inaugural “Imagine the Possibilities” scholarship to a local graduating senior.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:
$2000.00
CRITERIA:
- Applicant must be a high school senior who has an SSLDL library card (if you don’t have one, it’s quick and easy to get one. Select the blue link for details).
- The scholarship winner may apply funds toward costs associated with attending any 2-year or 4-year college, university, trade or technical school, or certificate program.
- No minimum GPA, transcripts or letters of recommendation required.
TO APPLY: First, complete the form below. Then, please reflect on what the SSLDL has done for you in the past and what it can do for you in the future, and tell us about it. This may be accomplished with written words in an essay or story format, or it may be approached through another creative medium such as video, music or visual arts. Whatever genre you choose, make sure to “Imagine the Possibilities” of our library’s role within our community.
Scholarship applications may be submitted electronically to friendsscholarship@ssldl.info or turned in at the Salem-South Lyon District Library by Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Please be sure to include your first and last name, title of submission, and Imagine the Possibilities Scholarship Submission on your application.
