“With your support, the Northville River Restoration Task Force will save and transform Mary Gilbert’s 1930s Log Cabin into a cultural gem—a historic public showcase and welcome center at the heart of the Downs River Park in Northville, Michigan.
“Uncover the rich history of our river, explore innovative log cabin construction, and immerse yourself in the inspiring life of Mary Gilbert. Her remarkable story as a teacher during the turn of the century, her resilience in the face of deafness, and her compassion for the less fortunate in the Great Depression will come alive within these walls.
