OC Restaurant Quest: Biff’s Coney Island in Commerce Twp

Commerce Township, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a breakfast and a lunch at Biff’s Coney Island in Commerce Township. My first meal from Biff’s was the chili cheese omelette, served with hash browns and toast. I love the cheesy mix of flavorful chili with eggs for an energizing breakfast.
While satisfying to my stomach, this messy meal did not photograph well. That meant a second visit, this time to show off some of Biff’s lunch fare.
The Chicken strip wrap and onion rings did not disappoint. The chicken Strip Wrap came with lettuce, tomatoes, Swiss and American.Plus there was a side of crispy, tangy coleslaw. The onion rings were greasy, crispy, and delightful.
Both times I visited, Biff’s was packed with customers and people waiting, and servers juggling a million task like pros. In spite of how busy they were, their carryout game was on point.
Biff’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their menu is full of traditional coney island favorites like spinach pie, tuna salad, Reuben sandwiches and veggie wraps. There are loaded tater tots adorned with bacon and cheese. And of course there are a half dozen options for coney dogs, including the Biff’s Coney topped with seasoned ground beef, chili, mustard, and onions.
The breakfast menu – served all day – is just as varied. Choices include Texas French Toast, Southern Eggs Benedict, and the Hangover Breakfast which is a feast of hash brown, bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, and pancakes.
