OC Restaurant Quest: Rio on Main in Lake Orion

Lake Orion, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County Continues with a visit to Lake Orion’s Rio on Main Southwest Cantina. This is a great spot located at 305 S. Broadway Street, with large comfy booths and a bar for patrons to enjoy.
I picked a nice quiet afternoon so I could get some work done and was happy to see a couple other people doing the same. At peak times though, this popular place is jumping.
I ordered the steak street tacos which are corn tortillas with steak, fresh chopped onions, fresh cilantro, and queso fresco with rice, beans, and sauce on the side. I also ordered some guacamole which was delicious. Everything was quick and tasty. The meal also came with chips and salsa.
There are several taco choices, including Veggie Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, and Campechanos Tacos made with chorizo and steak, grilled onions, fresh cilantro, and melted cheese. Dinner choices include Authentic Mexican Pork Carnitas, Mexican Pizza, Chimichanga, Carne Asada, Ribs and more.
Rio on Main also serves a variety of burgers, soups, salads, and other traditional items like enchiladas, burritos, and fajitas. Margaritas seem to be the drink of choice, with many flavors and varieties to choose from including a Mojito Margarita, a Jalapeno Margarita, and fruity varieties like pineapple, peach, strawberry, and mango.
