Ferndale Parents and Middle Schoolers Bond at Painting With a Purpose Event
(Ferndale Schools, Nov. 19, 2023)
Ferndale, MI – Join us in celebrating the triumph of our recent event, “Parents Painting With a Purpose,” where families bonded over creativity and dialogue. This engaging session wasn’t just about painting; it was a gateway for parents to delve into the challenges faced by middle school students and explore solutions together. Through collaborative artwork and insightful conversations, parents gained a deeper understanding of their children’s world while fostering stronger connections. It was a remarkable opportunity for families to unite, learn, and grow together, bridging the gap between generations with shared experiences and mutual understanding.
This event was developed by: Lacetia Walker of FMS and Jessie Wallace of Ferndale Youth Assistance Program. Mrs. Walker said, “We are so thankful for the financial support of the Ferndale Youth Assistance Board, FMS and Communities in Schools in this endeavor. A special thank you goes out to the staff that took time out of their busy evening to support this event as well. Stay tuned, and look for more events coming your way!”
