Enter “Local Gems” Sweepstakes for Chance to Win $1,000, $500 or $250

Oakland County, MI – Oakland County launched the “Local Gems” Sweepstakes, which gives residents a way to promote their favorite small businesses in the county and win some cash for the holidays.
From Nov. 1 through Nov. 25, shoppers can submit a selfie from small businesses’ brick-and-mortar locations, including its exterior, signage or interior. Created by Oakland County’s Department of Economic Development with financial sponsorship from Genisys Credit Union, participants have the chance to win $1,000, $500 or $250.
To be eligible for “Local Gems” Sweepstakes, participants must be 18 years or older and a Michigan resident. An individual can submit only one photo from each of their favorite Oakland County small businesses. There is no requirement to make a purchase.
The sweepstakes is part of the Oakland County Department of Economic Development’s annual Small Business Saturday Campaign to help build visibility, foot traffic and sales for small businesses in Oakland County during the holiday shopping season.
