Auburn Hills Police Seeking Witnesses to Fatal Crash on I-75 Wednesday

Auburn Hills, MI – On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 6:01 p.m., personnel from the Auburn Hills Police and Fire
Departments were dispatched to a rollover crash on Interstate 75 near Joslyn Road. Initial reports
described a single vehicle rollover crash on the median side of Southbound I75.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Ford Escape, driven by a 27-year-old female from
Flint, left the roadway on the median side of Southbound I75. The vehicle entered the grassy median
where it rolled over, causing a passenger to be ejected from the vehicle. An 18-year-old passenger, from
Flint, sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver and two additional passengers of the vehicle
sustained injuries as well.
Personnel from the Auburn Hills Fire Department transported all occupants of the vehicle to McLaren
Oakland Hospital. The 18-year-old female passenger was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The 27-
year-old driver of the vehicle was treated for her injuries and released. A 27-year-old female passenger,
from Flint, was treated for her injuries and released. A 19-year-old male passenger, from Flint, received
treatment for his injuries and is expected to be released. Alcohol and/or drug use is unknown.
This crash is currently being investigated by the Southeast Oakland County Crash Investigations Team
(SOCCIT). SOCCIT consists of crash investigators from Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Township, Troy,
Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham, and Clawson Police Departments.
