Ferndale Schools Superintendent Announces Resignation

Ferndale, MI – Dr. Bobbie Hayes Goodrum has announced that she is resigning as Superintendent of Ferndale Schools. Goodrum joined the district in June of 2022. The District released a letter, stating:
Ferndale Family,
I am writing to share an important update regarding the leadership of Ferndale Schools.
Our current Superintendent of Schools—Dr. Bobbie Hayes Goodrum—has made the difficult decision to resign from her position, with her last day in office scheduled for December 31, 2023. We want to express our gratitude to Dr.Goodrum for her service to the district and wish her well.
The Board of Education is actively engaged in developing immediate succession plans, and we want to reassure you that we are fully committed to maintaining strong leadership throughout this transition. In the coming months, the Board of Education will initiate a comprehensive search process to identify the next Superintendent.
Your input as members of our community will be invaluable during this critical decision-making phase. More detailed information about the search process will be provided in the near future as we work to ensure transparency and community involvement.
