Samantha Woll, Detroit Synagogue President, Fatally Stabbed

Detroit, MI – Samantha Woll, age 40, was fatally stabbed outside her home in the Lafayette Park neighborhood Saturday morning.
Woll most recently served as President of The Isaac Agree Downtown Detroit Synagogue. Previously she worked with State Attorney General Dana Nessel’s campaign, and with Congressperson Elissa Slotkin.
According to various reports, Woll was stabbed multiple times. Police are investigating.
“Sam was as kind a person as I’ve ever known,” Nessel said in a statement. “She was driven by her sincere love of her community, state and country. Sam truly used her faith and activism to create a better place for everyone.”
Slotkin stated via social media “My heart aches that we have lost someone so dedicated to serving others in such a senseless act. I’ll miss her relentless desire to serve & her bright smile seemingly everywhere across the Detroit area.”
