Clawson School Board Seeks to Fill Vacancy, Applications Due by Oct 6
Clawson, MI – Clawson School Board trustee Kimberley Carlesimo tendered her resignation from the School Board effective September 18, 2023.
An individual will be appointed by the Clawson Board of Education to fill the vacant board position.
The process, as defined in the board’s bylaws, is for persons interested in being considered for appointment by the board.
Interested persons should submit a formal letter of application that:
1. includes applicant’s name, address, phone number, and email address;
2. includes a brief biography;
3. indicates previous school involvement;
4. states why they wish to be a school board member; and
5. lists any other qualifications they feel the board should consider.
This formal letter of application must be submitted to Linda Gould, Secretary to the Board of Education, by Friday, October 6, 2023 at Noon.
Position: Clawson School Board Trustee
Term of Office: Through December 31, 2024
Qualifications: By law, candidates must be at least 18 years old, a citizen of the state, a resident of the district, a registered voter and eligible under the state constitution to be elected to public office.

Following a review of the submitted materials, INTERVIEWS with selected candidates will be at a board meeting on Monday, October 16, 2023 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Media Center of Clawson High School, 101 John M. Street, Clawson, Michigan. Applicants must be available on the interview date. Not all candidates for the board vacancy will be interviewed.
