City of Northville Sports New Signage
(City of Northville, Sept. 9, 2023)
Northville, MI – The City of Northville is sporting contemporary new signs at key entrances that welcome visitors to this historic town.
The signage incorporates the city’s new logo and brand, designed by Buzz Bizzell, of North Carolina. The signs have a distinctive raised “Northville” on top of a swirl pattern, creating a layered effect. The word welcome is at the bottom right-hand corner. The colors are lime green and shades of light and medium brown, interspersed with gray. The signs are reflective so they can be seen in the dark, and are constructed of durable, weather-resistant materials.
ASI Signage, of Troy, constructed the signs and is installing them this week and next. The cost of the project was approximately $100,000. They replace weathered wooden signs that provided decades of use, but were dated and falling apart.
Look for the new signs at Randolph and 8 Mile, and Center and 8 Mile, and on the south side at Center and 7 Mile, and S. Main near the waterwheel. In total, six large welcome signs and 11 City Limit signs will be installed.
The signs are either pedestal mounted on a brick base or pole mounted.
Large signs will be placed at City Hall, including new signs for the Police Department and Fire Department, and at the City Yards on Doheny.
The pedestal signs will be landscaped in the future with a design and plantings by the Beautification Commission.
