Orion Township Seeks Online Votes for America in Bloom Contest

Orion Township, MI – America in Bloom is hosting a contest among three communities across the country to decide the People’s Choice Award. The communities are Orion Township, Michigan, Madison, Mississippi, and Brewton, Alabama. Visitors can select the video for the community they would like to see win.
Orion Township’s video talks about beautification projects including The Playful Dragon and other pocket parks, the amazing nature trails, and the well-cared-for downtown. Commissioner Julia Dalrymple said in the video “America in Bloom has really helped us learn to appreciate the things many of us take for granted because we live here and have access to amazing lakes, parks, and trails daily.”
Ten-year-old Paige was one of several people featured in the video, saying “I love all the fun things our community does, and harvesting honey with my family.”
America in Bloom (AIB) promotes nationwide beautification through education and community involvement by encouraging the use of flowers, plants, trees, and other environmental and lifestyle enhancements
