OC Restaurant Quest: Stella’s Table in White Lake

White Lake, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County led to Stella’s Table in White Lake for some fabulous Italian-inspired fare.
I started with the Arancini, which is a trio of parmsean risotto and mozzarella balls breaded and fried and served with pomodoro sauce. These were perfectly crispy on the outside, warm and soft in the middle.
I also had a small beet and goat salad with arugula, roasted beets, pear slices, goat cheese, cucumber, and sunflower seeds with citrus vinaigrette.This beautiful salad was fresh and refreshing.
The main course was Parmesan whitefish with spinach risotto and white wine cream sauce. This hearty piece of fish was enough for two meals, and was flavored perfectly. Mixed with the risotto made for a pleasing texture and an all-around good meal. Plus fish is good brain-food!
Dessert was chocolate hazelnut tort made with chocolate sponge cake, housemade Nutella mousse, whipped cream with toasted hazelnuts, and caramel sauce. This explosion of sweetness was a great way to end a fancy meal.
Stella’s Table has a menu full of interesting options, including salmon bruschetta, veal reggiano, seafood pasta, and classics like mushroom ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs. The Cajun chicken and corn risotto seems to be another tantalizing choice, made with roasted red peppers, corn, spinach, basil with creamy parmsean risotto topped with blackened chicken breast. There is also a nice selection of pizza including the margherita, the sausage and the black and blue. Other dessert choices include creme brulee, tiramisu, and pistachio cheesecake.
