Crowne Pointe Center Bringing Virtual Reality Experiences to Holly
(Liam Feeney, Aug 16, 2023)
Holly, MI – Holly will soon have a new hangout spot for the whole family. Crowne Pointe Center is a brand new state of the art virtual reality (VR) and arcade facility that will open its doors in late August. During a presentation at the monthly Holly Chambers of Commerce networking breakfast, the owner and his team talked about the exciting things that they will have at their facility which includes VR games, state of the art soccer and baseball simulators, an arcade, and a virtual escape room with more to come after they open.
“We really wanted to do something different in the community, something to bring everyone together throughout Holly and have a place to go.” said owner Bill Jobes while answering some questions from the audience. “We have teamed up with VR Cave to bring all of this together. They helped us get a bunch of these games including the roller coaster simulator and sports simulator.”
This center would be the first of its kind in Holly and the first of its kind in the surrounding area as well. The magnitude of this opening was not lost on them as they later went in depth their mission goal for what they want this center to become.
“We want to partner with different businesses in town and do different events at the community,” Jobes said.
They included field trips and school functions being hosted at the center as well as work events to host a fun atmosphere for everyone in the community. They even noted getting their liquor license so that adults weren’t left out on the fun as well. But they don’t plan on limiting themselves to just being a fun spot to hangout and come together as a community, they also mentioned the ability to have VR meditation and stem games for students, citing a want to reach out to locals schools to try and work something out with their equipment as well.
“We truly want to be apart of the community,” said Chief Fun Officer Ambi Yurk, “we don’t just want to be an arcade. We want Crowne Pointe Center to be a pillar of the community.”
Concluding the presentation they showed off some of the many different VR games that they had already gotten, while talking about a plethora of other games they plan on getting in the future. They even mentioned the addition of a Starbucks Vending machine they are adding to the center as well. Crowne Pointe Center has some big hopes and dreams as it plans to open up this fall, though no set date has been set yet.
Crowne Pointe Center will be located at 3045 Grange Hall Road in Holly.
