OC Restaurant Quest – Little Daddy’s in Bloomfield Hills and Southfield

Bloomfield Hills, Southfield, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a visit to Little Daddy’s in Bloomfield Hills. They also have a location in Southfield.
There are many items on the menu at this busy family restaurant. I was in the mood for a fried chicken sandwich, and Little Daddy’s did not disappoint. The The Little Daddy’s Fried Chicken sandwich is made with all-natural chicken fried to perfection on a soft and delicious fresh-baked bun along with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard. The chicken was high in quality and the bun was genuinely impressive, making this one of those rare items that are saved in my mind as something to have again.
I also had the Roasted Brussels sprouts which are first roasted, then flash fried and tossed in fresh garlic, Montreal seasonings, and topped with Balsamic glaze and Parmesan cheese. This too was memorably flavorful and likely to become a favorite.
For dessert I had a classic Michigan delicacy – Sanders Bumpy Cake. For those who don’t know, Bumpy Cake is devil’s food chocolate cake with a layer of buttercream frosting that includes their signature “bumps,” which has a layer of chocolate frosting on top. Sentimental and sweet, this is a popular selection at Little Daddy’s.
The menu has a nice variety of items, reflecting a mix of American and Greek favorites. Sandwiches include a selection of gyros, burgers, and other sandwiches like the Chicken Challah Sandwich, the Avocado Melt, and BBQ Pulled Pork just to name a few. For a more hearty entree one might enjoy the fresh baked Meatloaf, Lemon Feta Chicken, vegetable Stir-Fry, Honey Mustard Salmon and more.
Little Daddy’s also serves breakfast anytime. This includes the Oink and Moo Omelette stuffed with pulled pork, Swiss cheese, and mustard. The Greek Omelette features Three all-natural brown eggs filled with gyro meat, baby spinach, sweet onions, and Feta cheese covered with a zesty tomato sauce and more Feta cheese. And the High Protein Omelette features Three all-natural brown eggs filled with grilled all-natural chicken breast, mushrooms, baby spinach, sweet onions, and Swiss cheese. Those with a sweet tooth might like the French Toast made with Challah bread.
Little Daddy’s first restaurant opened in Southfield in 1997. Using only the highest quality ingredients, Little Daddy’s has a menu that caters to nearly every taste or diet.
