OC Restaurant Quest – Golden Bowl in Oak Park

Oak Park, MI – Though the dining area appears to be under construction, carryout continues to be available at Oak Park’s Golden Bowl restaurant located at 9 Mile and Coolidge.
Golden Bowl has traditional Chinese meals with large portions. For my carryout, I had an appetizer of Bar-B-Q ribs drenched in a spicy sauce. I also ordered egg rolls, which had lots of cabbage and shrimp.
The main dish was almond chicken, which is made with a golden breading and topped with a buttery, almond sauce, served with fried rice.
The Golden Bowl menu has lots of good choices, including chicken chop suey, moo shu pork, garlic ribs, shrimp in lobster sauce, vegetable chow mein and many more.
One thing I found impressive is that they offer family style dinners that make it easy to order for any number of people, and there are party trays as well.
