July 16 – Midtown Art Fair in Detroit Features Artists with Disabilities
Detroit, MI – Michigan Arts Access is thrilled to host the second annual Midtown Art Fair in Detroit. The event will be held on the corner of Kirby St. and John R in the heart of Detroit’s Cultural Center and will host 40 visual artist booths representing a wide variety of media. The Midtown Art Fair adds a performance stage this year with a diverse lineup of musicians, with Detroit legend, DJ Bruce Bailey, returning to set the festive mood, again, throughout the day. Visitors will also be able to participate in the Art Action Experience with Detroit visual artist, Daniel Cascardo, and sample food from Detroit Public Schools Community District culinary programs, and Detroit’s own, Chef Taz.
This is an inclusive event and will feature artists from All Means All, MiAA’s program of support for professional Michigan Artists with disabilities. This is a fully accessible event that embraces the diversity, equity and inclusion for all Michigan citizens. Come out and celebrate the beautiful tapestry of Michigan’s creative community with us!
Michigan Arts Access is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all proceeds from the Midtown Art Fair will go to support MiAA’s programs for children, youth and adults with disabilities.
