Village of Lake Orion Accepting Applications to Fill Council Vacancy

Lake Orion, MI – The Village of Lake Orion Council is accepting applications for a vacant position city council position following the resignation of Sarah Luchsinger. Luchsinger submitted her written resignation on Thursday, May 11, 2023 in a letter that did not give a reason.
By charter, the village council must elect a qualified person to fill the position within 30 days of its acceptance of Sarah Luchsinger’s resignation, which would be June 21.
The position has a partial term through Nov. 11, 2024.
Applications are being accepted through June 7, and can be found online at the Village of Lake Orion website.
