Oak Park Contest for Art, Music, Poetry and Other Forms of Expression for Juneteenth Event
Oak Park, MI – The City of Oak Park is once again sponsoring a student self-expression contest to recognize the Juneteenth holiday.
This year, the City of Oak Park Juneteenth Sub-Committee has expanded the contest by welcoming various forms of expression, including music, poems, paintings and more.
We encourage all K-12 students who either live in Oak Park and/or attend Oak Park schools to submit a piece of self-expression to highlight what Juneteenth means to them.
Prizes and scholarships will be awarded to students, with more information to come. The Juneteenth Sub-Committee will serve as the judging body. Submissions are due by May 1.
